Hear it

A few of them
to listen to

One from each of the things this accent is used for, so you can hear the range before you write anything.

Another 7 Mexican Spanish voices are in the catalogue, with the rest of the library. Sign in to hear them all, or design one of your own from a prompt.

What makes Mexican Spanish
sound like itself

Each feature below is something the prompt has to encode, or something a careless prompt will accidentally undo.

Seseo
There is no theta: cielo and zapato both take a plain s. This is the default across Latin America and the first thing that separates Mexican from Castilian, so it never needs stating in the prompt beyond naming the accent.
Full, unreduced vowels
Mexican Spanish keeps its five vowels clear and does not aspirate syllable-final /s/, unlike Caribbean or Chilean varieties. The result is unusually intelligible, which is why it is the standard choice for Latin American dubbing and voice agents.
Softer velar J
The j and g are lighter than the Castilian velar fricative, closer to an English h. Asking for a harsh or gritty texture can push it back towards Castilian and muddy which accent you are hearing.

Or design a
mexican spanish voice

The library is a starting point, not a limit. Describe the voice you want and Voice Design generates it.

A Mexican Spanish male voice, 40 to 55, for conversational: calm and crisp, with mid-low pitch, steady natural pacing, medium energy and warm rounded resonance. Ideal for reassuring walkthroughs, empathic de-escalation and complex IT support.
