Gradium powers RMC BFM Drive, the first fully AI-generated, personalized radio experience built into Renault connected vehicles.
Available since March 2026, RMC BFM Drive does something no radio service has done before: it builds a unique audio program for each driver, generated by AI on demand, from RMC BFM's entire content library. No fixed schedule, no shared feed. Each trip produces a program that exists only for that driver, at that moment.
The experience starts with the driver's inputs: topics of interest (politics, economy, sport, international, culture, technology), trip duration (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or more), preferred region for localized news, and the voice of their preferred RMC BFM journalist. From those parameters, the app assembles a continuous audio sequence, updated in real time, pulling from the thousands of podcasts and shows the RMC and BFM newsrooms produce every month.
The voice layer behind the experience
Gradium is the voice layer that makes this possible. Our Text-To-Speech models synthesize transitions between segments in real time using Pro Voice Clones of RMC BFM journalists, preserving the vocal identity, tone, and presence of each presenter with high fidelity. This is what turns an AI-curated playlist into something that feels like a live broadcast: a continuous, authored listening experience rather than a sequence of disconnected clips. Without real-time, expressive voice synthesis at this quality, the personalization would fall apart at the seams.
